March 18-24, 2018 is National Horticultural Therapy Week.
DreamScapes Landscaping and Design has a special interest in Therapeutic Gardens. Designer and Senior Commercial Estimator Erik Jorgensen began working in therapeutic garden design early in his career when it was an emerging area of horticulture and landscape architecture. Erik's projects include senior living, hospitals, and Alzheimer's facilities.
Senior Landscape Designer, Clarissa Cooper has completed designs and masterplans for senior living, hospice, and hospital facilities. Clarissa received a MNLA Design Award for Clara's House Children's Garden in St. Cloud, MN. Clara's House is a place of joy and hope for children and adolescents to receive care for mental health and/or chemical dependency. Clara's House features many homelike attributes to create a healing atmosphere where children feel welcome and comfortable. Designing the Children's Garden at Clara's House was a JOY!
